Well, if you think of it with inflation, 1966's 4200$ are 32k$ today. A good deal for today but not that far off how much GTVs can be bought now :)

Well the tyres and bearings would disintegrate due to heat for starters. Poor planning from Alfa there, I expect the new Giulia to handle 4000 mph better.
